The Journey Continues!
Hello!
It’s been a whirlwind of a year so far, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to as I continue to chase my passion for acting and voice acting. This is my profession and I love every bit of it. My journey is fueled by a deep desire to bring characters to life in feature films and streaming series, and every step I take is moving me closer to that goal.
On the Commercial Scene
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of lending my voice and presence to several commercials, including some for notable brands that are still under wraps (stay tuned for those releases!). These projects have been a fantastic opportunity to hone my craft, work with talented teams, and bring energy to diverse campaigns. Every-time I step onto another set, it teaches me something new, and I’m grateful for the trust that so many amazing and creative people have placed in me.
Building Toward the Big Screen
Commercials keep me sharp and they’re often a lot of fun. (They also help pay the bills.) My heart is set on feature films and streaming series. To build my experience, I recently took on a role in the true crime series Fatal Attraction. Working on this production was an incredible chance to dive into a reinactment of a real-life story and collaborate with a dedicated cast and crew. I’m also pouring my creativity into short films, where I’m not only acting; but also writing, directing, and collaborating with other artists and actors to create a dramatic moment or something simple to make people laugh. These projects are like a playground for experimentation, which have allowed me to stretch my skills and build a portfolio that reflects my range.
Sharpening the Craft
To prepare for the roles I dream of, I’m committed to constant growth. I attend acting classes weekly at Dortch Acting Studion in Charlotte, NC. In my spare time, I also deep dive into techniques like Method and Meisner to refine my approach to character work. I’m also an avid reader of acting books, soaking up wisdom from the greats to better understand the art of storytelling. Every class, every page, every exercise is an investment in becoming the actor I want to be.
Life Beyond the Set
When I’m not acting or studying, I’m a proud Dad and husband, cherishing time with my wife and two young sons. Whether we’re off exploring half-way around the world or running around the backyard playing soccer, these moments ground me and give me fuel as an actor. I also support my best friend’s mountain spring water company, AVL Spring Water. What’s Next?
Any of my work that’s released and ready to be seen, both commercial and theatrical, will be posted right here on this website. In closing, I’ll say that the road to acting on bigger screens and in bigger projects is long, and there are some tough days when you feel your best efforts efforts or futile in the face of uncertainty—but I know I’m in this for all the right reasons and it’s something I truly love. I’m actively seeking new opportunities, from auditions to collaborations, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
